From kindergarteners to high school and college seniors, we applaud the accomplishments of our grads throughout the month of May.  Graduation parties are a wonderful way to celebrate next chapters, but planning one can be a daunting task. Where do you start? Well, we got you covered with some awesome party ideas and labels for the grad in your life.

Guest List, Venue and Theme

Step one to planning an awesome graduation party is deciding who and how many people you want to invite.  Sometimes your choice of venue help you come up with a limit.  Once the guest list and venue have been decided, it’s time to come up with a theme and start sending invitations.  Our address labels and envelope seals may be just what you need. Now the decorating fun can really begin.

Food and Drink

Food is a very important element for any event, so there are some questions you should answer.  Do you want it catered, home cooked, or potluck style? Keep in mind that graduation parties can be fairly casual and buffets are common.  How cute is this graduation dessert table from Paisley Petal Event? There are many awesome food ideas to pull from here. (Tip: Reese’s peanut butter cups and chocolate squares make cute edible grad caps!)

Whatever delights you choose to offer, be sure to tell your guests what their options are.  A great way to do so is though labeled food cards, explaining what each item is.  And don’t forget the beverages! At Custom Labels Depot, we offer a wide variety of wine, beer and water bottle labels to add a personalized touch to your drink options.

Decorations, Activities and Favors

Graduation Party Planning

There are so many opportunities to create personalized decorations when planning a party for your grad.  Is your son off to college in the fall? Perfect.  College logos and mascots make great decorations and graphics for labels.  Try incorporating labels in your banners, table centerpieces or seating cards!

We love this activity from celebrations.com.  Keys to Success: Design small cards for your guests to write down their suggestions for success.  Then, give these words of wisdom to the graduate.

Favors are another element where you can get creative! Small graduation tassels and luggage tags for the fellow graduates make great favors.  So do candies, baked goods, chocolates and mints. You can’t go wrong with sweets! Label the packaging and wrappers of your favors with our food labels.  Or, if you really want to get creative, try this cupcake in a jar concept we found on Etsy.
