How to Plan a Quinceañera – Part 2
Welcome back to our two part series, How to Plan a Quinceañera. Planning a Quinceañera can take a lot of coordination because the party can be very elaborate. Here at Custom Labels Depot we want to help you plan the perfect event.
Hopefully, you have been able to read part one of our blog series. If you have already started with some of the recommended items we mentioned in our first article, you are off to a great start. Here are the next steps in the party planning process.
Choose a Theme
Your theme can be as simple as using a couple colors in your décor, to using a specific theme like a Hawaiian Luau or A Night in Paris. Once you select your theme you can build everything else around it.
Order Cake
Before you make a decision on what cake to order ask if the bakery will provide cake samples. Being able to taste the cake and icing used will make a huge difference.
Order Flowers
Normally a flower bouquet is used and left at the church alter as an offering. If you will be using fresh flowers in your center pieces, remember to order them and coordinate with your theme.
Hire Photographer and DJ or Band
When choosing a photographer, DJ, band or any entertainment for your event, make sure you ask for a sample of their work prior to hiring them. The most important thing is that you are comfortable with the individuals you hire for your event.
Choreographer
Work with a local choreographer who has experience with Quinceañera’s and will be able to give you some ideas for what types of dances you can do for the event.
Order Dress and Formal Wear
Choose your dress and dresses for your court of honor. This is also the time to choose the tuxes the gentlemen will wear for the event. Make sure they are color coordinated with the dresses chosen.
Invitations

Hair and Makeup
If you are hiring a professional hair and makeup person for the event, make sure you see their work prior to your event. You should be able to schedule a trial run-through prior to your big day.
